One day you wake up and you’re feeling down, and don't like what you see in the mirror. You think, that's it, I need a new look. STOP! Before going any further, let me share with you why you should take a step back a think this though. It could save you from 6 to 8 weeks of questioning your look.
Clients that are in that dreaded, “I hate my look,” mood are never happy when a hairstylist is done. They don't know what they want and the stylist is trying hard to make them feel better. There are times when I need to say, “I think we should wait until you’re ready or feeling better.”
You should be excited to come get your haircut, not upset or “over it.” So, we’ve come up with some suggestions for what to do during those bad days:
The Perfect Cut For You
By Patti Wood
Celebrities and fashion models are cutting off their locks this spring. Short haircuts are popping up just about everywhere.
I see an average of about 25 to 30 clients a week and one out of five are cutting their hair shorter.
Now, this doesn't always mean they go to a pixie or “twiggy” cut but more and more people are open to shorter and shorter layers or bobs.
How do you know if you’re ready for short hair?
I recently cut my hair about 6 inches, before I was always wearing it in a ponytail. I couldn't stand it on my neck so I decided to cut it. The back is short, but my layers are longer on the top so I feel like I still have hair. I love it. I have gotten so many compliments and everyone tells me I look younger.
